Get your car ready for spring!

After the winter, your car deserves some care. This includes giving your car a thorough clean and checking it for damage. This spring maintenance of your car is for your safety and to maintain its value. We'll show you what you need to look out for.
Car wash: You can remove stubborn dirt with a high-pressure cleaner. You can then wash the car and clean the windows inside and out. After cleaning, you can polish the car.
Check the car: After washing the car, the paintwork must be checked for damage and stone chips and sealed if necessary. Damaged wiper blades must be replaced. The wiper and coolant levels must also be checked. You should also check the hoses and pipes. This also applies to brakes, timing belts, engine oil and lights. If the air filter for the engine and the clean air filter for the interior are very dirty, they should be replaced in the workshop.
Replacing tyres: If the tread is less than 4 mm, the winter tyres must be replaced before you replace them with summer tyres. Before storage, the inflation pressure of the winter tyres must be increased by approx. 0.5 bar. Winter tyres must be stored in a dry, dark and cool place over the summer. A special rim cleaner is recommended for the care of alloy wheels.
Loading: To save fuel, you should remove unnecessary ballast such as snow chains or roof attachments now. Every kilo costs fuel - up to 0.3 litres more per 100 kilometres per 100 kilograms.
