From new to old: leather jackets with patina are now cooler than flawless models

No money for a new leather jacket? Then you're right on trend! This spring, our outerwear can look really nice and old.

The word is a horror to me, but no matter how I spin it, transitional jacket time is a thing. Especially because for me it means the opportunity to finally wear out my leather jacket. After all, it hangs sadly on its hanger most of the year, dreaming - as I do - of the ideal nothing-half-and-nothing-quite temperatures. And that's exactly what's happening now.

So blissfully, I throw my leather jacket over T-shirts or light sweaters - and my winter jackets a sardonic glance - as I leave the apartment. Countless others seem to feel the same way I do. At least, that's what my Insta feed suggests. Everywhere I scroll, leather jackets are taking selfies, posing outdoors, and strolling through the grocery store.

We need secondhand

Otherwise, everything stays the same. Leather jackets are allowed to be big and boxy and return to their rough, masculine biker image this spring. Of course, this doesn't mean that you can't continue to combine them with swingy dresses and short skirts. The bigger the style break, the more love. At least that's my own rule of thumb. And if in a few weeks it's already too warm for this small but nice trend*(sigh*), you'd best just read on here:

Because there I'll tell you how you can best send your leather jacket into the summer break. But until then: happy transitional jacket time!
