Favourite series - my 10 favourites!

With so much rain, I don't feel guilty at all about lying on the couch with my cosy blanket in the evening or at the weekend and watching my favourite series. Here I reveal my personal top 10.

1. Game of Thrones

Currently my absolute favourite series, although it wouldn't normally be my genre. However, Game of Thrones captivated me from the very first moment and hasn't let go since, even though it's almost too brutal for me at times. Seasons 1-5 can be found on DVD in our shop.

2. Two and a Half Men

I personally don't know anyone who hasn't seen Two and a Half Men. I find the series super funny in both casts (old: with Charlie Sheen; new with Ashton Kutcher).
My absolute favourite star of this series is/was Jake (Angus T. Jones) anyway. He always manages to make me laugh.

Here's an example:
Alan: "Did you hear that? Grandma's sending you to college."
Jake: "Now? I haven't finished my soup yet!"

I`m loving it :)

3rd Grey's Anatomy

I know it's typical that this series is in my top 10. However, this is one of the few series that I have really followed from the very beginning and I am/was a fan of McDreamy.
292 episodes of the US series Grey's Anatomy have been produced to date. Here you can find seasons 1 - 11.

4th Doctor's Diary

Ok, I admit that I like the Doctor look. But above all, I find Doctor's Diary incredibly funny - irony is also particularly appealing to me personally (at least that's how I feel). At the moment, I'm watching the repeats every Thursday - but you can get the complete box directly in our shop so you don't have to wait so long for the next episode.

5th Breaking Bad

You feel torn with this story. On the one hand, you sympathise with the father who wants to save his family financially, but on the other hand, you have to remind yourself that it is not legal to earn money by producing or selling crystal meth. The chemistry teacher literally "lost his way" in Breaking Bad.

6th Suits

A story that can probably only happen in a film, but one that inspires hope that anything is possible in life through hard work. Seasons 1-4 can be found here.

7. How to get away with murder

One of my latest discoveries. Season 1 I truly devoured. Two time-shifted plots that intertwine. Very exciting and always good for surprises. Have you discovered the series yet?

8th How I met your mother

An absolute classic series that you simply have to see in my opinion. If you also want to know how Ted Mosby met the mother of his children Penny and Luke, you have to watch seasons 1 to 9.

9th Gilmore Girls

Yes, I know that I'm actually too old for this series (it's rated 6+). Nevertheless, I'm already looking forward to the new season and the familiar faces. What I like about this series: wonderfully ironic, lots of coffee and, around 10 years ago, Matt Czuchry. If you missed the episodes back then, you can now catch up on them thanks to our season box.

10th Lost

It's been a while since I watched Lost
. have seen. Nevertheless, in my opinion, the series is one of the better ones in recent years. I'm probably not the only one who thinks so: the awards for this series include a Golden Globe and eight Emmys, one of which was for Best Drama Series in 2005.

Ok, I admit it, there are more than just 10 favourite series. I'm constantly coming up with new series that I think are good.

11th Desperate Housewives

At some point I lost myself in this series, but Desperate Housewives is still one of my favourites. Gossip from housewives in a small neighbourhood - a wonderful way to switch off.

12th Revenge

With Revenge, it took me a little while to be convinced by the series at first. But then the life of Amanda Clarke somehow fascinated me. Not the part where she wants to avenge her father, but her lifestyle in general. She lives on the beach, is constantly organising charitable events, is knowledgeable about every topic (whether it's politics, sport, etc.), is extremely sporty, super pretty (to my taste), always dressed in chic clothes and has friends who never let her down.

If you've got a taste for it now, you can find all the DVDs here

Of course, you can also find most of the series mentioned above on Netflix, but in my opinion, a real fan also has the series on DVD on the shelf at home - in a place of honour, of course.

And what are your favourites?

I'm always on the lookout for new series, so if you have any suggestions for series (preferably nothing too girly) I would be delighted if you would let me know as a comment.
