DIY: Minion-style headphone storage

Yes, yes, the Minions from the "I, Simply Incorrigible" film universe. They are everywhere and yet nowhere when you need them. However, I was able to create two helping specimens myself.

What you need for this:

  • Surprise eggs
  • Adhesive tape
  • Waterproof felt-tip pen, black
  • grey felt fabric
  • movable craft eyes
  • second glue
  • Scissors
  • Nail varnish, blue

And this is how it's done:

Step 1: Stuff yourself with as much eggy chocolate as you can er need and work your way to the precious yellow centre. That's what we're going to work with.

Step 3: Now it's time for the black band around the head. So that this doesn't end in disaster, I pinned my ribbon with adhesive tape so that only a narrow strip remains open, which I then coloured in with the waterproof felt-tip pen. Please make sure that the glue is firmly attached at this point, otherwise the colour from the felt-tip pen may flow under the tape. After colouring, allow to dry briefly and then remove the adhesive strips.

Step 4: Now all that's missing are the eyes. To do this, use superglue to glue the purchased movable googly eyes to a piece of grey felt fabric and cut them out so that about three millimetres of grey fabric protrudes around the eye. This will later look like the frame of the glasses.

Step 5: Now glue the cut-out felt pieces to the centre front of the painted ribbon. Your own Minion is ready. And by the way, it can also be used as a pillbox.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
