Digitec Podcast episode 122: Meta lays off 11,000 employees, that's absolute madness
Marc Zuckerberg lays off 13 per cent of the workforce but still sticks to Metaverse plans. We ask ourselves, how much longer? Luca and Simon are also at a loss after "Halloween Ends" and "Victoria 3" respectively, but for different reasons.
After the stock market slump, heads are rolling at Meta. Not among the management staff, however, but across the board. We talk about the reasons why 11,000 employees are being laid off at the US company. Four "games" announced by FIFA on the occasion of the World Cup are also the subject of discussion. The inverted commas are intentional.
Luca has been watching "Halloween Ends" and wonders what he actually saw. Mask wearer Michael Meyers, at least, (almost) didn't. The documentary "Mike Mignola: Drawing Monsters" is also about monsters. In it, the Hellboy creator takes a deep look into his comic pages.
Whoever is still busy with the tutorial after 20 hours can almost only play a Paradox game. In "Victoria 3" Simon wants to become an economic mogul, if only he knew how many coal mines to build. I am even more clueless after my short play session with "Priest Simulator". A game I can hardly put into words. I'll try anyway.
