Available now: Indoor and outdoor rugs from Villeroy & Boch

When you think of Villeroy & Boch, do you think of crockery? That's right. But the manufacturer also markets carpets under its own label.
If your home feels too sterile, then a rug could make your home cosier. The brand Villeroy & Boch offers rugs for indoor and outdoor use. They are available in different sizes, materials and patterns.
The colours are inspired by nature. The rugs therefore look particularly good in rustic rooms with plants or wooden elements.
For interiors: rugs made from wool and jute
The manufacturer uses 100 per cent wool or jute for indoor rugs. According to the manufacturer, both materials are hard-wearing and durable.
Jute rugs are certified in accordance with the Oeko Tex Standard 100 sustainability label. This certifies that their production has been tested for harmful substances and is environmentally friendly. The «Rosalie» rug, for example, is made from jute.
For outdoors: Rugs made from synthetic fibres
Carpets for outdoor use must be able to withstand moisture, sunlight and changing temperatures. To achieve this, synthetic fibres are used that do not break at the first drop of rain. The manufacturer sometimes uses recycled polyester or fabric blends of polyester and BCF yarn. BCF is a manufacturing technique that is often used in fibres for carpets and makes them more voluminous.
Of course, you can also lay the outdoor rugs in your home. They also cope better when the dog pees on the carpet.
