Colouful foliage on trees and bushes is a beautiful sight every autumn. However, fallen leaves should be removed from your lawn. Armed with a leaf blower, leaf vacuum or a rake, you’ll be done in no time. The leaves you’ve collected are great to winterproof your garden. Use them to cover flower beds or plants, to make compost or to give hedgehogs a home in your garden.
Speaking of animal-friendly: it’s not just hedgehogs that appreciate shelter in wintertime.
