A perfect fit: seven ways to wear a beanie
Don’t let snow and ice kill your good mood: Beanies won’t only keep you warm, they’re also a stylish accessory and a great way to add a splash of colour to your winter outfit. And they have another hidden talent: Beanies are sure to help you out on a bad hair day. Here are seven ways to pull off the beanie look and get you through the cold season.
1. High-top beanie
Our favourite style is the high-top beanie, leaving enough room for daydreams and making us look that bit taller. Beanies look great in muted colours or bright red, oceanographer style.
2. Cuffed beanie
Single roll your beanie for a classic look. With origins in workwear, cuff beanies are now particularly popular in the hip-hop community. Go for colours or ribs and you’re sure to make heads turn.

3. Double-roll beanie
In line with the half-dressing trend, the double roll shortens the beanie, making it more fitted to your head and giving you the option to wear it above your ears. This way of wearing a beanie (widely associated with hipster style) doesn’t do much in terms of insulation, but will make you look the part in trendy quarters such as Kreis 5 in Zurich or Shoreditch in London.

4. David Beckham style
The sporting icon has made the baggy beanie famous. This oversized, slouchy style works best with short or loose hair that’s not entirely covered up. This is a great airport look – at least that’s where David Beckham modelled his baggy beanie most often.
5. Layered look with hoodie
Go wild and play with layers. Combining a beanie with your favourite hoodie will make your ears feel extra toasty. Complete your outfit with an oversized down jacket and sunglasses and your next Instagram post is a wrap.
6. Pom beanie
Pom-pom beanies look cute and fluffy. There’s a chance you’ll be confused with Kevin from «Home Alone», but you’re sure to appear friendly and approachable.
7. Cover up
A beanie and comfort food can help you get through the day if you’re in a bad mood or have a hangover. Just hide behind your beanie, cover up your mood or take a sneaky nap. Nobody will know! High-top beanies are your best bet, as their long enough and often feature large logos – a great distraction tactic.
