A broad, affordable selection of brushes from the drugstore is in short supply. At least if the brushes are to meet a certain aesthetic standard. With this simple, elegant line, essence has definitely filled a gap. The slim, calm design is suspiciously reminiscent of the brush collection that Kylie Jenner's make-up artist Ariel launched in 2021 in collaboration with Morphe Brushes. The set was on my wishlist for a long time. I never bought it. Fortunately. I actually like Essence's interpretation with the lilac-coloured handles a little better than the original. My wallet too.

The new "Banana Loose Powder" from essence is said to have at least as much to offer: The powder mattifies, sets and is even suitable for baking. At least that's what the manufacturer claims. Let's hope the product is a success, because I would love to see more colours. Including a version of Huda's pink powder in "Cherry Blossom Cake".

Charlotte Tilbury, the owner of the luxury beauty brand of the same name, is honoured twice over here. And rightly so. Because the brand has - in my opinion - some of the best complexion products ever that make the skin glow. I'm a big fan. And so is essence, apparently.
