7 new Weber barbecues are now available - the smart generation starts
Weber is renewing its barbecue portfolio in 2026: from smart Spirit gas barbecues with sensors to the Slate plancha and compact Lumin electric models.
Grilling has evolved. When you buy a new barbecue today, you don't just expect heat, but control, efficiency and an appliance that suits your everyday life. Weber is launching several new models on the market in 2026 that are designed to fulfil these requirements in different ways: from smart gas barbecues to powerful plancha and new electric versions.
Mid-range gas barbecue: precision through sensor technology
The Spirit series is the entry-level model in Weber's gas barbecue range. In the Spirit EX-425 and Spirit EX-325 models, the manufacturer integrates Weber Connect technology directly into the user interface. These digital assistants measure the core temperature of the meat and transmit the data to the smartphone in real time via WLAN. The EX-425 has four main burners, while the EX-325 is equipped with three burners.
Both models use the GBS system (Gourmet BBQ System), which allows the centre grill segment to be replaced with different inserts. According to the manufacturer, porcelain-enamelled cast iron grates, stainless steel flavourizer bars and a grease collection system also ensure even grilling results and easy cleaning.
For those who prefer not to have digital monitoring, the Spirit E-415 and Spirit E-315 are the conventional alternatives. These barbecues concentrate on the core competence of heat generation. The E-415 offers four burners and a correspondingly larger grilling surface. Like the more compact E-315, it has side tables that can be folded down on both sides and Weber Works rails on the side to which you can attach accessories. The E-315 comes with three burners and is slightly more space-saving overall.
The plancha alternative and (smart) electric solutions
Away from the classic grill, the Slate GP 71 serves the trend towards grilling on a closed surface. As a griddle grill, it has a porcelain-enamelled cast iron plancha which, according to the manufacturer, is designed for even heat and searing at temperatures of over 260 degrees Celsius. The heat is generated more evenly than on a grid. This is intended to enable the cooking of small pieces of food or food with a high fat content without the formation of flames.
The GP 71 model stands on a sturdy base with two side tables. One table is foldable, while the fixed table can be extended for additional accessories using the Weber Works System.
In the electric range, Weber offers the Lumin Compact (2026 model) and the Lumin Smart Compact for low-smoke grilling. Both provide 2200 watts and reach temperatures of up to around 315 degrees Celsius.
The Lumin Compact is designed as an uncomplicated entry-level model and comes with a high-quality grill grid, according to the manufacturer. It covers a temperature range of 60 to 315 degrees Celsius, which also enables low-temperature cooking. The Lumin Smart Compact complements the system with digital temperature control via smartphone using the Weber Connect app.
