7 days, 7 dresses

With the start of school, not only the time of empty trams and buses comes to an end, but also slowly the summer. So a memo to myself: I want to wear my little dresses up and down again in the last few days, maybe weeks.

As of now, I have to slowly but surely say goodbye to the hottest days of the year. As a summer child, the next six months will be particularly tough for me: not just in terms of temperature, but also when it comes to outfits. Because dresses are the ultimate for me, as they make me feel dressed up and ready to go out particularly quickly. I'll tell you which styles will get you through the working week in style.

The weekly show

Monday: maxi

The maxi dress is not known for its width, but for its length. Unlike an elegant evening dress, this floor-length garment is a casual option. My favourite styling option: a model with an animal print or Breton stripes combined with white kicks. If your employer doesn't allow trainers, then simply go for flat sandals.

Tuesday: casual chic

The shirt dress is one of this summer's absolute street style favourites. The striped version is particularly popular at the moment. However, the XXL shirt should not be too tight so that the button placket does not stretch. With a belt, you can conjure up feminine curves despite the oversized cut. Paired with wedge sandals, you're ready for an after-work drink

Wednesday: flower power

If you're feeling a little down in the middle of the week, I recommend a cheerful print. No pattern spreads more joie de vivre than flowers - which also works with a real bouquet. If you also opt for a wrap dress, you'll not only prove you have a flair for trends, but also emphasise (your) slim waist with the lacing.

Thursday: classic

With a little black dress, you'll not only be well-dressed from 9 to 5, but also ready for a date. During the day, your LBD (short for little black dress) is best worn with trainers or ballerinas. Swap these for high heels in the evening.

Friday: pointed

No style is as airy (thanks to the holes) as a lace dress. Too elegant? Give this outfit a downgrade with a denim jacket and a bun. You can undo this in the evening. It will reveal light waves that you can shape with your fingers.

Saturday: dress to impress

Let's get the party started. Whether it's a wedding, christening, birthday party or simply a night out - a knee-length cocktail dress is a must-have in every wardrobe. Preferably in a bright colour. This will make you stand out from the crowd and be remembered by the other guests. So if you tend to stand out in a negative way at events, it's better to go for something black... 😉

Sunday: out of bed

A slip dress is basically nothing more than a silk nightdress with spaghetti straps. You can actually hop straight from bed to the office (or onto the sofa on a Sunday). In contrast to the 90s, when Kate Moss made the hint of nothing party-ready, you can now wear your dress during the day. It's casual and totally wearable if you wear a simple T-shirt underneath.

Small drop of bitterness: Investing in these seven dresses is definitely still worth it now. I'll tell you how to make these pieces fit for autumn and winter at the end of September. Just click on the "Follow author" button to keep up to date with my fashion tips.
