Keep your hands off Sportstech
We purchased an F31 treadmill directly from Sportstech. After two years, or shortly after the warranty expired, the base of the treadmill broke during use. Fortunately, nothing happened to me - I was travelling quite fast. It has to be said that I didn't use the treadmill every day during the two years, but rather 2 to 3 times a month. It's a mystery to me how the floor can break with so little use. But the best is yet to come: it was easy to contact support, but the running floor, as it is called, is a wearing part! It is therefore accepted that this damage will occur. What is even worse is that this wear part is currently not available. Well, you should have a wear part in stock, as it is expected to break. Of course I had to pay for the spare part order and since then I have been waiting for a delivery (currently almost three months). Several contacts via email and even a direct call to support in Germany (!) always bring the same thing to light: warehouse is overloaded due to relocation, parts not in stock. There is always a reason for the delay and they can't help. I don't expect to ever get a spare part. A lot of money is made here with cheap goods but no support is provided. Therefore, hands off Sportstech! Addendum: After contacting telephone support, I received another email. Among other things, it says (quote): "We would also like to point out that we do not have to provide spare parts after the warranty period has expired." So that says it all.
