Winter tyres for the compact class tested

Despite the SUV boom, vehicles in the compact class continue to enjoy great popularity. It is easy to understand why: The VW Golf, Opel Astra and Toyota Corolla are still affordable, sufficient for most requirements and therefore the all-rounders among the vehicle categories. Of course, their tyres should be just as good all-rounders as the vehicles themselves. A good winter tyre must therefore not only ensure a high level of driving safety in winter road conditions, it must also work in dry and wet conditions. Which tyre does this best? Twelve winter tyres had to undergo the extensive ADAC test.
