Test Report

12 Loppers 07/2015

With good tools, gardening is fun ? poor quality not only affects the gardener's mood, but often the plant as well. The best garden shears in the test shorten branches almost effortlessly. Good pruning shears quickly take care of the rough stuff. But more than half of the products tested came off worse. The list of shortcomings ranges from too much force required for cutting to a mediocre cutting pattern and handles containing harmful substances. Eight tools failed the endurance test; for example, their handles broke. In the test: 19 pruning shears at prices between 2.74 euros and 49 euros. Also 12 pruning shears, including two relatively short models and two with telescopic function (prices: 7 euros to 92.50 euros).
