Every year there are exciting candidates in the freetouring category that go beyond the usual scope with completely new or innovative designs. test go beyond the usual framework. This was also the case last winter, when we were able to catch a visionary glimpse into the future of skiing over three days on the Hin-tertux glacier with the stage for the coming season. And what did we see? It was noticeable that some of the brands are using less carbon or have completely dispensed with the light but porous material - whether for ecological or technical reasons. This is astonishing, as the lightweight freeride models in particular have been a major article in the past, making carbon an integral part of ski construction. The "Pure Tour 100* from Scott or the . M-Tour 108* from Dynastar. Whether this development will also extend to freeride models remains to be seen. This new direction in terms of more sustainable production would certainly be pleasing.
