10 Bicycle touring bags 06/2019

Bicycle panniers are supposed to transport clothes dry on tours - or protect laptops well from rain and shocks in city traffic. Stiftung Warentest tested 20 panniers: 10 touring panniers and 10 city panniers, including those from Ortlieb, Vaude and Decathlon. The marks range from very good to poor. Some bags were not waterproof, others were contaminated with harmful substances. The cheapest good one costs 26 euros, the test winner is considerably more expensive (prices: 26 to 210 euros).
