Children have no crumple zone. So that they are easy to see on the way to school, their satchels have to be brightly lit. Only 8 of the 22 school satchels tested by Stiftung Warentest managed this. Such a satchel set with sports bag, pencil case and often other accessories costs between 119 and 259 euros. Scout, Ergobag, McNeill and Step by Step are represented with several satchels in the test. Twelve models received the test quality rating "poor" because of their poor warning effect.
