The brand Veja is a global leader in sustainably and fairly produced sneakers. In the production of their shoes, they use Fairtrade rubber for the soles and fairly traded organic cotton for the lining. If there are components made of plastic in the shoes, this plastic is sourced from recycled plastic bottles. The shoes are then sewn in a modern workshop in Brazil.

The SDU-RT is fashionably inspired by the sporty sneakers of the 1980s, but it is sustainably made and features a sole with more grip, designed by its developers to provide better traction in everyday life. The combination of sporty design, comfortable fit, and the improved sole makes the SDU RT from Veja a legitimate upgrade from its predecessors. The B-Mesh used by Veja, which is both breathable and water-repellent, is made from recycled plastic bottles, with three bottles used for each pair.
