The Women's Monviso Hooded Grid Fleece Jacket from Vaude is an elastic women's fleece jacket designed for ski touring and mountaineering. In winter, the most heat is lost through the head. The hood is integrated and adjustable in width, ensuring a perfect fit on the head. This allows you to forgo a hat while still keeping your ears warm. There are two front pockets for valuables, energy bars, and more. These pockets are positioned slightly higher than what you might be used to with other jackets, making them easily accessible even when wearing a harness. This keeps everything secure and prevents it from getting lost in the snow. Additionally, the jacket features a full-length front zipper with a draft flap, making it easy to put on and take off. The draft flap prevents fabric from getting caught in the zipper or pinching the skin, ensuring the jacket is comfortable and durable. The sleeves are equipped with thumb loops, which serve multiple functions. With your thumbs hooked in, it’s easy to pull on snug gloves over the jacket without creating folds at the wrists. Moreover, the palms and especially the pulse are doubly warmed: by both the gloves and the jacket. When you need to raise your hands overhead, for example, to grip in a rocky passage, the sleeves won’t slide down your arms but will stay exactly where you want them.
