The Women's Monviso Hooded Grid Fleece Jacket by Vaude is an elastic fleece jacket for women designed for ski touring and mountaineering. In winter, the most heat is lost through the head. The hood is integrated, adjustable in width, and fits perfectly on the head. This means you can forgo a hat while still keeping your ears warm. There are two front pockets for valuables, energy bars, and more. These pockets are positioned slightly higher than what you might be used to with other jackets, making them easily accessible even with a harness. This keeps everything secure and prevents it from getting lost in the snow. Additionally, the jacket features a full-length front zipper with a backing for easy on and off. The backing prevents material from getting caught in the zipper or pinching. This makes the jacket comfortable to wear and durable. The sleeves are equipped with thumb loops, which serve multiple functions. With your thumbs hooked in, it’s easy to pull on snug gloves over the jacket without creating folds at the wrists. Moreover, the palms and especially the pulse points are doubly warmed by both the gloves and the jacket. When you need to raise your hands overhead, for example, to grab something in a rocky passage, the sleeves won’t slide down your arms but will stay exactly where you want them.
