The Women's Monviso Hooded Grid Fleece Jacket by Vaude is an elastic women's fleece jacket designed for ski touring and mountaineering. In winter, the most heat is lost through the head. The hood is attached, adjustable in width, and fits perfectly on the head. This means you can forgo a hat while still keeping your ears warm. There are two front pockets for valuables, energy bars, and more, positioned slightly higher than you might expect from other jackets, making them easily accessible even with a harness on. This keeps everything secure and prevents items from getting lost in the snow. Additionally, the jacket features a full-length front zipper with a backing for easy on and off. The backing prevents material from getting caught in the zipper or pinching, ensuring the jacket is comfortable and durable. The sleeves are equipped with thumb loops that serve multiple functions. With your thumbs hooked in, it’s easy to pull tight-fitting gloves over the jacket without creating folds at the wrists. Furthermore, the palms and especially the pulse points are doubly warmed: by both the gloves and the jacket. When you need to raise your hands overhead, for example, to grab onto a rock face, the sleeves won’t slide down your arms but will stay exactly where you want them. The jacket is warm, moisture-regulating, and quick-drying. It features pockets that are compatible with climbing harnesses and backpacks.
