Product details

The name says it all: The Cycle 22 backpack is our reliable companion for commuters in the urban jungle. It impresses with a clear design and offers ample space for everything you need on your way to work or university: The large main compartment fits A4 documents; a zippered mesh organizer for small items helps keep things tidy. A separate, zippered, padded compartment accommodates laptops up to 15.6 inches. On the front, there is a flat zip pocket for quick access to rain gear or magazines. A helmet holder and attractively integrated reflective elements on the front and comfortable shoulder straps complete the comfort features. The main material of the Cycle backpack is made from 50% recycled polyester, while the contrasting material is made from 100% recycled content. Drizzle is no problem thanks to the water-repellent, PFC-free Eco Finish. A rain cover is included just in case. As a member with Leader Status in the independent organization Fair Wear, VAUDE is committed to fair working conditions and fair wages. Additionally, this product is climate-neutral: emissions from materials, manufacturing processes, and shipping have been comprehensively assessed and systematically reduced. Currently unavoidable emissions have been fully offset through the independent non-profit organization myclimate.

Spiegel TestsRucksäcke für Radfahrer im TestReleaseApril 2024
  • PositiveThe rucksack is lightweight and, above all, very flexible. The separation between the main compartment and notebook compartment makes it easy to access. And it fits well.
  • NegativeIt is only waterproof with a cover. And the 22 litre capacity could sometimes be a little small.

At 780 grams, the Cycle 22 from Vaude is the lightest model tested. The manufacturer Vaude has only saved on the chest and hip straps: both are quite thin, without padding and have small buckles. This would be annoying when hiking, but for a bike rucksack it's perfectly okay: they stabilise the rucksack sufficiently...
