The classic design of this legendary sneaker has not changed much from 1966 to today: a simple canvas low top with straightforward lacing and the original Vans Waffle Sole. The latter is also the reason why it has always been so popular among skaters. The durable rubber sole with its unique waffle pattern provides excellent grip and is perfect for skateboarding.

In the 1970s, this sparked a true Vans wave in skate-loving California, the home of the shoe. SoCal teenagers were seen only in these kicks, and since then, Vans have secured a firm place in skate culture. The simple yet stylish design also resonates strongly outside the skate scene.
