Minimalistic yet just right. With the new BASIS, Step by Step has developed a minimalist school backpack that offers all the necessary functions while being budget-friendly. It is suitable for elementary school children from 1st to 4th grade with a height between 100 and 150 cm.

Healthy and comfortable thanks to the Ergonomic Back System. The Easy Grow System has been replaced by the new Ergonomic Back System in the BASIS. This innovative fit ensures the carrying comfort and health of your child through adjustable shoulder straps. The stabilizing and lightweight fiberglass construction of the backpack, along with the breathable padding, makes the carrying experience particularly pleasant. The Ergonomic Back System has been awarded the quality seal from the Aktion Gesunder Rücken (AGR).

Charming designs for a unique school backpack. The interests of elementary school children are constantly changing. With the Magic Mags, the backpack can be easily redesigned with magnetic applications in many different colors and designs. The BASIS features two magnetic surfaces, on the backpack flap and the front pocket, which can be individually customized with Magic Mags.

Space-saving with additional compartments. Despite a weight of only 950 g, the BASIS offers a capacity of 20 liters, providing enough space for all writing utensils. The main compartment includes a separate book compartment, a waterproof bottom plate, and tabs for space-saving storage of the pencil case in the backpack flap. Additionally, an outward-expanding front pocket with a drainage hole and two outward-expanding side pockets provide extra space for the lunchbox and water bottle.
