Product details
The Seeland Heat Jacket is made from a lined, lightweight fabric and features stretch membranes on the sides and arms for increased freedom of movement. The heat-reflective lining prevents heat loss and enhances the effect of the integrated heat membranes. The collar is lined with soft fleece. Integrated heat membranes are located in areas of the upper body that are particularly sensitive to cold – between the shoulder blades and in the lumbar region – and can be set to a desired temperature between 30 and 52 °C using the associated smartphone app. Additionally, the membranes can also be adjusted without a smartphone via the button on the chest to 38, 46, or 52 °C. Unlike older heating technologies, the heat membranes are flexible enough that the clothing can still be easily folded. The jacket can also be safely washed in the washing machine. In the right pocket of the jacket, there is a waterproof USB stick, allowing a power bank to be connected if desired or needed. With a 10,000 mAh power bank, the jacket can maintain the highest temperature of 52 °C for about 7 hours at outside temperatures of 0 °C. To save energy, the heat membranes automatically switch to standby mode when the jacket reaches the desired temperature. They then turn back on by themselves if the temperature drops 1-2 degrees below the desired level, without the wearer noticing. Thus, the jacket has a temperature-regulating function: it automatically turns off when the body produces a lot of heat during high activity and turns back on when standing still or sitting. The jacket features two side pockets as well as an inner pocket and can be stored in the included waterproof dry bag.
