Secrid has created a collection of wallets inspired by Dutch masterpieces from the Mauritshuis in The Hague: a small world-class museum with a formidable collection of Dutch paintings from the age of Rembrandt and Vermeer. The Girl with a Pearl Earring is one of the most iconic works of the Dutch Masters. Vermeer was the master of light, as shown in the softness of the girl’s face and the glimmers of light on her moist lips. And of course the pearl, consisting only of a few masterfully placed brushstrokes, takes center stage on the wallet.

Supple Italian calf leather serves as the base for the Art collection. The artworks have been printed on the leather in exquisite detail, showing the smallest details such as the cracks in the paint. An engraving on the inside of the wallet tells of the paintings and in which museum they can be found.
