Product details
These durable packsacks made from 500D Cordura are sturdier than typical lightweight packsacks. They are practical for the rough transport of all kinds of bulky equipment.
While ordinary packsacks are usually made from nice, lightweight fabrics, these are the opposite. They are not intended for use in backpacks or bags, but as standalone, rugged transport bags. The robust 500D Cordura withstands rough use, including the transport of abrasion-resistant and bulky gear, as well as the careless handling of our equipment in real-life situations we sometimes encounter. You could describe these bags as a very rough low-tech alternative to genuine duffel bags.
We use these bags ourselves to transport various goods wherever our work takes us. Items like provisions, tents, equipment, photography gear, exhibits, and all the stuff that there is just so much of that we don’t want to pack everything into numerous duffel bags and backpacks.
The 500D Cordura they are made from is coated with a PU layer to make them waterproof. However, the seams are not sealed. Essentially, they are quite waterproof, at least when they are new and not worn out from years of use. If left out in the rain or thrown into a lake, water will eventually seep through the seams over time. Keep in mind that if you use them as we do, the fabric and coating will wear down eventually, allowing water to penetrate through the fabric itself.
