Salewa Puez Catinaccio 2 Tirolwool® Responsive hooded jacket

The Catinaccio insulation jacket combines natural wool with our high-tech synthetic Responsive insulation. The name of this lightweight, warm men's jacket, which also serves as a midlayer, is the Italian name for the Rosengarten massif in the Dolomites. The TirolWool® insulation, which has a high lanolin content (wool wax), comes from Tyrolean mountain sheep and is highly functional: thanks to the wool wax, the wool can provide warmth even when wet. The Responsive technology is a patented blend that incorporates thermoreactive minerals. This gives the material the unique ability to convert, store, and gradually release the body's radiant heat as infrared light. The outer material is made from an ultra-light nylon ripstop fabric, which is equipped with a water-repellent, PFAS-free DWR coating (Durable Water Repellent).

Additional mountain-ready features include a full-length front zipper with a windproof backing that effectively blocks drafts, as well as a high, fully closing collar that reaches up to the chin.
