Challenging mixed routes, steep icefalls, and other alpine adventures: This is where the Ortles TirolWool® Air Jacket comes into play!

In the Ortles TirolWool® Air insulation jacket, we combine sustainable Tyrolean wool with partially recycled polyester. The hollow fibers of the material can trap air and thus retain body heat, giving the jacket a very low weight while maintaining high loft and insulation capability. Additionally, the material provides excellent warmth even when wet. For extra abrasion protection, we have incorporated panels made from our weatherproof Powertex® material at the hood, shoulders, upper arms, and sleeve cuffs.

The features are also designed for alpine activities: The helmet-compatible hood protects against wind and weather, the two-way front zipper allows access to the belay device, and the two mesh inner pockets are perfect for storing small items. The adjustable sleeve cuffs with Velcro and thumb loops can be comfortably worn over winter gloves.
