Salewa Ortles Merino Jacket

The Ortles Merino Jacket is a lightweight, quick-drying, and breathable fleece jacket made from a hybrid polyester-merino material blend. Thanks to the high merino wool content, the fabric is particularly pleasant against the skin, breathable, and keeps you warm in cold conditions. The jacket features an athletic cut and is designed based on body mapping principles to provide the right material for different body areas. For additional weather protection, the robust, wind-resistant outer material on the front and shoulders is equipped with a PFC-free DWR finish.

Thanks to the high elastane content of the Alpine Merino main material, the jacket offers four-way stretch. Combined with the ergonomically shaped sleeves and shoulder area, the jacket guarantees full freedom of movement—whether tackling demanding movements on ice, mixed climbing, or ski mountaineering. For added abrasion resistance, Polarlite Wool inserts with durable Cordura are integrated into the shoulders and sleeves.

The jacket comes with features such as a high protective collar, sleeve cuffs with integrated thumb loops for extra cold protection, and two large zippered chest pockets.
