Salewa's designers have carefully tailored the design and materials using body mapping to align with the body's insulation and heat exchange functions during the sweaty active phases and the cool resting phases of alpine climbing. This hybrid construction warms only where the body needs it, eliminating unnecessary insulation. The down (90/10 high-loft with a fill power of 750) is located only on the upper body, back, and shoulders, while lightweight, abrasion-resistant stretch softshell is used in areas where climbers require more breathability and freedom of movement. However, the true secret of the Agner Hybrid Down Jacket lies in the down chambers, which are not stitched in the usual manner but are welded instead. Laser perforations between the partitions ensure that air can flow freely and excess body heat is dissipated. The result is an outstanding warmth-to-weight ratio with excellent compressibility.

Additionally, the Agner Hybrid Down Jacket features a lightweight hood that fits under any helmet and provides extra protection against cold winds.
