Revolution Utility
LProduct details
This durable overshirt, Revolution, is made from heavy organic cotton corduroy with 8 ribs, providing a soft and velvety surface. The shirt features distinctive square utility pockets on the chest, a front with tone-on-tone buttons, and adjustable cuffs. A loop at the collar makes it easy to store the shirt, and for added comfort, it is designed with a traditional double-layered back with a box pleat, giving you more freedom of movement. Wear it as a warm shirt in everyday life during the cold season or pair it with a printed t-shirt or sweatshirt for a casual look. Over the decades, corduroy has been valued for its durability and cool appearance. The fabric originated with the ancient Egyptians and was considered a material for the upper class. In the 18th century, corduroy descended in the social hierarchy as British textile manufacturers developed the characteristic ribs that transformed it into the corduroy we know today. The fabric quickly became favored by teachers and academics, and since corduroy was regarded as very robust, it became industrially popular as a material for men's workwear after the Revolution. In the 1970s, corduroy gained status as fashion, an anti-establishment symbol of a cool worker, and this status remains relevant to this day.
