Product details
The Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer RB2140 is a true masterpiece. It is considered one of the most iconic and revolutionary sunglasses of all time. When it was introduced in 1956, it paved the way for new materials and technologies. At that time, almost only thin metal frames were available. With its strong plastic frame, the Wayfarer was a striking novelty that marked the end of the previous era. Stylistically, it also challenged many of the criteria that were previously accepted as standard. Its trapezoidal lenses not only appeared unconventional and slightly daring, but they remain both trendsetting and practical to this day. This pair of sunglasses gained particular popularity in the world of rock and pop. Among others, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Billy Joel, and U2 were seen wearing Wayfarer models at many performances. Ray-Ban sunglasses with polarized lenses filter surface reflections on smooth, shiny surfaces such as roads, water, glass, tabletops, etc., allowing for high-contrast vision. Even in extreme conditions, such as by the water or in the snow, they provide a more comfortable and relaxed viewing experience.
