Rab Expedition 8000

Rab's expedition mittens are designed for the most extreme terrain and weather conditions in the lowest temperatures, whether at 8,000 meters or on the polar ice caps. The mittens feature 850FP goose down insulation on the back of the hand and double PrimaLoft Gold insulation on the palm, meeting all requirements for extraordinary adventures. The outer material is made from weather-resistant Pertex Quantum Pro fabric, complemented by a textured leather palm for better grip and maximum finger strength and durability, ideal for handling ropes and ice axes.

Reinforced with 70D nylon in high-wear areas, the lining is crafted from soft Pebble fleece. The mittens have flat cuffs that fit under or over jacket sleeves, along with width-adjustable straps, one-hand adjustable drawcords, and detachable wrist straps.

Pertex Quantum Pro is a durable, lightweight, water-repellent fabric that allows down to expand fully. It has a small pack size, is breathable, and offers protection, making it ideal for use in changing mountain conditions.
