Our development team designed this waterproof jacket to protect children from rain and wind. Young hikers stay dry in this waterproof jacket for maximum protection in wet weather. Windproof yet ventilated, this lightweight model remains comfortable and breathable.

The resistance of a material to water pressure is expressed in mm water column (standard JIS 1092). The higher the pressure, the more impermeable the fabric. A material with a water impermeability of 5,000 mm can withstand the pressure of a water column of 5,000 mm – equivalent to about an hour of heavy rain. Waterproofness is indicated as a water column (e.g., 5,000 mm water column). This measurement applies before washing. The fabric is windproof and waterproof due to its coated inner side, as waterproof fabric is also windproof due to its technical properties. To prevent the body from cooling down, it is important to protect against wind both during movement and while resting.

The RET test method (Resistance to Evaporative Transfer) is used to measure the breathability of a material. This refers to the material's ability to transfer water vapor generated by the body to the outside, keeping the skin dry. The smaller the RET value, the more breathable the material. RET ≤ 6: very breathable, RET ≤ 12: breathable, RET ≤ 20: less breathable. Our product has a RET value of 12.

This jacket was designed in our development center at the foot of Mont Blanc in France and subsequently manufactured by our suppliers in Vietnam, Ethiopia, and Bangladesh.
