Our development team has designed this waterproof jacket to protect children from rain and wind. It offers the best protection for kids playing outdoors, as this lightweight jacket is both water- and windproof. The ventilation system in the back ensures that the child does not get too warm. This jacket was designed in our development center at the foot of Mont Blanc in France and then manufactured by our suppliers in Vietnam, Ethiopia, and Bangladesh. To measure the breathability of a material, the RET test method (Resistance to Evaporative Transfer) is used. This refers to the material's ability to transfer moisture vapor generated by the body to the outside, keeping the skin dry. The lower the RET value, the more breathable the material. RET ≤ 6: very breathable, RET ≤ 12: breathable, RET ≤ 20: less breathable. Our product has a RET value of 12.

The resistance of a material to water pressure is expressed in mm water column (Norm JIS 1092). The higher the pressure, the more impermeable the fabric. A material with a water impermeability of 5,000 mm can withstand the pressure of a 5 m water column – equivalent to about an hour of heavy rain. Water resistance is indicated as a water column (e.g., 5,000 mm water column). This specification applies before washing. The fabric is windproof and waterproof due to its coated inner side, as waterproof fabric is also windproof due to its technical properties. To prevent the body from cooling down, it is important to protect against wind both during movement and while resting.
