Our engineers have designed these sunglasses for hiking. Ideal for occasional mountain hikes. The lenses block 100% of harmful UV rays, and category 3 protects against glare. Lightweight glasses with a good fit for optimal protection while hiking. Our lenses are made of polycarbonate – a material that is highly impact-resistant but not particularly scratch-resistant.

Even if the lenses are scratched, the UV protection remains fully intact; the mirrored effect is purely aesthetic. The same applies to the color of the sunglasses. Whether gray, brown, or colored... the protection applies to every color. Classification of tinted lenses according to standard ISO 12312-1: Category 1: lightly tinted glass for subdued sunlight. Category 2: moderately tinted glass for medium sunlight. Category 3: darkly tinted glass for strong sunlight (sea and mountains). Between 82% and 92% of visible light is absorbed. Category 4: very darkly tinted glass for exceptional sunlight (high mountains). Between 92% and 97% of visible light is absorbed.

Why use a material with UV protection? To protect your eyes from invisible UV rays. UV rays are always present, in winter, in summer, in sunny weather, and even on cloudy days, which can be harmful to the eyes. To preserve eyesight, the lenses of our sunglasses are made from polycarbonate mixed with a material that provides UV protection to shield the eyes from harmful UVA and UVB rays. Our sunglasses accompany you on your mountain hikes. Over time, however, the lenses may get scratched. For the repair of your sunglasses, you can choose between polarized lenses or non-polarized ones and easily and quickly replace them yourself. Repair instead of throw away!.
