The breathability of a fabric is determined by its vapor permeability. During high exertion, it is essential to wear breathable clothing to avoid getting wet. Breathability is measured in RET (Resistance to Evaporative Transfer), which indicates the resistance a fabric has to water vapor. The lower the factor, the more breathable the fabric: RET ≤ 3: extremely breathable, RET ≤ 6: very breathable, RET ≤ 12: breathable.
