With this windproof, water-repellent softshell jacket, there are no limits for the little ones. The durable softshell material is ideal for small adventurers. The jacket protects against wind and light rain. The polyurethane membrane is sandwiched between the outer material and the inner lining of the softshell jacket. It is windproof and prevents the body from cooling down. Additionally, the membrane is breathable: evaporative heat is released through the micropores, reducing moisture condensation on the inside—keeping the child warm and dry at all times! To prevent the body from cooling down, it is important to protect against wind during both activity and rest. The perceived temperature in wind and cold is determined by the "wind chill" model: at a temperature of 5 °C and a wind speed of 30 km/h, the perceived temperature is 0 °C. At 0 °C with a wind speed of 30 km/h, it feels like -6 °C. This product is made from windproof material. The water-repellent property is achieved through a special surface treatment that causes water to bead off without being absorbed. This keeps the garment lightweight, breathable, and warm. However, it is not waterproof! This treatment should be renewed occasionally. It is best to use impregnation sprays and avoid adding any impregnation agents to the wash that could impair the product's breathability.
