Product details
The massive, bizarre towers of the Pala group rise from the rocky high plateau. Those who climb here, at the southernmost mountain massif of the Dolomites, need strong nerves and robust gear. Ortovox has designed the Merino Shield Tec line specifically for such long alpine routes.
The extremely abrasion-resistant outer material of the Pala Hooded Jacket for women withstands over 50,000 abrasion cycles in the Martindale test, which measures abrasion resistance. Additional reinforcements at particularly stressed areas such as the shoulders, forearms, and hips provide maximum protection against rough rock. The 4-way stretch material allows for full freedom of movement, supported by an athletic cut and pre-shaped elbow areas. Thanks to its membrane-free construction, the Pala Hooded Jacket for women is particularly breathable, with fine merino wool on the inside ensuring a comfortable wearing experience.
The self-regulating hood fits under a climbing helmet, and the sleeve and hem closures are elastic and comfortable. With its High-Reach-Performance Fit, the Pala Hooded Jacket for women adapts to every movement and is entirely focused on climbing. Small items can be stored in the chest pocket as well as in the two harness- and backpack-optimized front pockets, making them easily accessible during a long climbing day.
For the sake of the environment, the entire Merino Shield Tec line is completely PFC-free and climate-neutral with CO2 compensation. With its fresh look, the Pala Hooded Jacket for women is ready for major climbing routes on high rock faces.
