The Boonie Hat originally gained great popularity as a tropical hat of the US Army. Both then and now, this tropical wide-brim hat is primarily used in warmer regions, such as jungles. With its wide brim, it reliably protects the head and face from sunlight. In its high-quality ripstop version, the Boonie Hat is particularly tear-resistant, skin-friendly, and durable. The 10-fold stitched brim increases its stability, and even rain is successfully repelled to a certain extent.

The 2-in-1 Boonie Hat "Junglescout" features a long neck protector that zips in, effectively shielding the neck from incoming sunlight. This can be removed at any time and stored separately in a pocket. On both sides of the hat, there are two horizontal mesh vents for pleasant ventilation of the wearer's head and to keep insects at bay. The hat band is equipped with 12 MOLLE loops, which initially serve as an accessory but can also be used to attach camouflage material or other lightweight items. Even the wind while riding in an open off-road vehicle cannot blow the bush hat off the head once the chin strap's cord lock is tightened.
