The tried-and-true Boonie Hat, commonly known as a wide-brim hat, originally gained fame as a tropical hat of the US Army. Even 55 years later, it remains highly popular and is increasingly marketed as an everyday clothing item for everyone. With its wide brim, it reliably protects the head and face from sunlight. In its sturdy ripstop version, the lightweight Boonie Hat is particularly tear-resistant and durable, yet it can also be rolled up and tucked into a pocket.
