Our teams have designed this reversible sun hat to protect the heads of babies and children from the sun while bathing and playing in and around water. Available in solid colors or prints – both options are possible! This reversible sun hat features an adjustable drawstring that perfectly shields your child's head, neck, and ears from the sun.

The sun hat comes in two sizes. It has an elastic band at the back that adjusts to the child's head circumference, ensuring a secure fit. 2XS corresponds to a head circumference of 46 to 48 cm (approximately 1-3 years), while XS corresponds to 49 to 51 cm (approximately 3-5 years).

The skin of babies and toddlers is particularly sensitive to the sun, as their skin's natural protection begins only at the age of 3. The effect of sunlight is two to three times stronger on children than on adults. Therefore, it is important to protect children carefully.

The UV protection factor (UPF or Ultraviolet Protection Factor) is a globally standardized value. It determines the protective effect of the fabric against UV rays. To meet the standard, at least 95% of UV rays must be filtered. UPF 50+ blocks at least 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB rays.

Even though this sun hat protects against sunlight, other factors such as reflection (from water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, and so on should also be considered. Proper behavior includes wearing sunglasses and UV shirts or UV shorties, regularly applying appropriate sunscreen, and staying hydrated.
