Anyone who does not move, for example after an operation in hospital, has an increased risk of thrombosis. In most hospitals, patients are therefore given medication and/or anti-thrombosis stockings, such as the Mediven Thrombexin, to prevent thrombosis. Many patients also want to benefit from the comfort of the supportive stocking at home, while others may need it because they are still bedridden.
