Kimood K-loop

Recycled cotton and recycled polyester. Large shopping bag with a flat bottom and handles made from the same fabric as the bag. This bag is part of the "K-loop" project. With this project, Kimood completes the circle of the circular economy in a narrower sense. The cotton used comes from waste generated during the production of cotton items by the Kariban brand. The added polyester is sourced from the recycling of PET plastic bottles. During the recycling process, tracers are added to the yarn, which are viscose and ceramic filaments that serve as unique digital emblems. The tracers reflect light in a unique way and therefore carry a distinct and unchangeable code. This allows us to uniquely store all information about the processes the yarn has undergone in a blockchain. Using Aware™ Tracer technology and the corresponding blockchain platform, Kimood enables the end consumer to trace the entire production process. This ensures that the product has indeed been recycled using its own waste and without any potential alterations to the process. A special label with a QR code provides access to the Aware™ platform and allows for direct authentication of certifications via a simple smartphone.
