The Jordan 12 Retro Barons (GS), in grade school sizes, is a high-top athletic shoe with a black tumbled leather upper featuring radiating quilted stitch lines accented by a gray lizard texture mudguard. Jumpman branding appears on the tongue and heel tab, along with Jordan and 23 branding. The black and gray midsole features a full-length Zoom Air unit and a carbon fiber plate.

When American athletic wear brand Nike began collaborating with NBA phenomenon Michael Jordan in the 1980s, the world was introduced to the impact of this partnership. Decades later, the Jordan 12 was inspired by his time with the Birmingham Barons, the Double-A league affiliate of Chicago’s White Sox, where Michael Jordan played during the 1994 season.
