WE PROTECT FORESTS - For every purchase of Gumbies flip-flops, a mangrove tree is planted in Mozambique, Madagascar, or Kenya. Mangrove trees are particularly beneficial to the environment as they store four times more carbon than other trees. JUTE FIBER - A layer of jute fiber is added to the mold of our recycled rubber outsoles. This natural material helps the rubber form a flexible bond while increasing strength and durability.
