In addition to the top-loading design, the backpack can also be opened with a side zipper. One compartment is specifically designed for crampons. Smaller items can be stored in the lid pocket, which can also be removed if needed. A lightweight, comprehensive frame made of a metal alloy supports heavy loads or can be removed with the hip belt and frame sheet for ultralight use.
