A lot of effort has gone into developing sustainable and resource-saving materials. The upper material is made from Corn Waste, which feels like leather due to a special process. The Corn Waste is processed from corn by-products from the harvest. Thanks to the perforations in the toe area, the sneaker is breathable. Bamboo has been used for the lining, which is a rapidly renewable resource. The removable insole is also made from natural materials, incorporating cork and natural rubber. For the Heritage outsole, natural rubber, a conglomerate of similar natural siliceous materials, and synthetic rubber have been used.
