The Flamingos Life label was founded in 2015. Its aim is to minimise the ecological footprint as much as possible. Flamingos Life trainers are manufactured in small factories in Spain, within a 40km radius of Elche, as well as a few models in Portugal. A lot of effort has been put into the development of sustainable and resource-saving materials.
The upper material is made from corn waste, a special process makes it feel like leather. Corn waste from the maize harvest is used for the corn waste. Thanks to the perforations in the toe area, the trainers are breathable. Bamboo, a rapidly renewable raw material, was used for the inner lining. The removable insole is also made from natural material, using cork and natural rubber. Natural rubber, conglomerate-like natural silica and synthetic rubber were used for the Heritage outsole.
